Amother vacation? New Orleans

OK, so I'm a wimp...  Illinois Central rail to New Orleans from southern IL.  All night all day travel with amenities...   like a club car and girlfriend in heated space... on a rain day... not all that bad.

Most interesting along the tracks were the many dirt roads along and crossing the rails... this could be potential for a new adventure.   Will add videos and pics as time permits.   This Quarter Fest weekend and all of next week will be mix of music and hiding from rain.   Looks like Sunday and the Grand Prix races are a washout.

Don't worry... I didnt do that on the bike.  flip flops were the order of the day.  Lots of happy people and smiling faces.   Will post more as I get through the pics and videos.

 These roads around farm acerage are just begging for tracks to be added...   looks like slick and squirrly, but great fun if you can find them,

Just south of Lake Ponchetrain the dirt roads slink into and under the urban sprawl.  I can imagine doming back and trying to find these places... would be a rail-trail adventure.
